GEALAN KONTUR:® Design meets function
Here, all cogs mesh perfectly: A fixed center seal dome provides increased protection during burglary attempts. For particularly good tightness and thermal insulation, the GEALAN-KONTUR® profile system is equipped with three sealing levels throughout. GEALAN-KONTUR® thus meets all requirements for a high-end profile system with an installation depth of 82.5 mm.

Burglary protection taken into account at the same time

Windows, balcony and patio doors are actually weak points of a building envelope. There are always good opportunities for burglars to get into an apartment. Therefore, it is immensely important to protect these areas optimally and to consider comprehensive burglary protection.
The new premium system from GEALAN already puts an extra stop to this – because the sophisticated profile geometry of GEALAN-KONTUR® is stable and difficult to crack. In most burglaries, the windows are levered out by the intruder inserting a screwdriver between the frame and the wing.
At the fixed center seal dome from GEALAN-KONTUR®, burglar tools encounter an effective barrier in the profile.
Play it safe with the GEALAN all-rounder in the 82.5 mm segment: The profile geometry of GEALAN-KONTUR® has been specifically optimised for burglary protection. Reinforced profile bars at important points of attack support the overall concept.
Optimized thermal insulation
Here, the heat stays exactly where it should stay: With profiles from the GEALAN KONTUR® system, reliable insulation works without any additional measures – even with high static requirements.
GEALAN KONTUR® profiles achieve a tested Uf value of 1.0 W/(m²K). Three sealing levels throughout enable optimum tightness in the system, while the central seal level ensures an interruption of the heat flow.
In this way, the premium system ensures that in the icy winter the cold remains outside and the cosy warmth remains within the four walls.
Excellent sound insulation
The noise must stay outside
Windows are the most vulnerable components of a building when it comes to noise pollution from outside. In order to maintain health and well-being in the long term, the window system plays a decisive role. Deep construction profiles, which support multiple glazing and have completely closing seals, cut off the living and working spaces from polluting sources of noise from the outside.
The all-rounder GEALAN-KONTUR® can accommodate acoustic insulation glass with a glass thickness of up to 56 mm. If special aluminium shell sashes are used, even glass thicknesses of 66 mm can be achieved.
The perception of noise is different for every person. From a nightly continuous sound level of more than 45 decibels due to road or rail traffic noise, sleep is severely disturbed. Such a noise level is comparable to quiet radio tones or quiet conversation scenes. Noise levels that consistently exceed 60 decibels can permanently affect your health. Such a level is given, for example, when the TV is running at normal room volume. Therefore, windows with sound-absorbing properties, such as those made possible by GEALAN-KONTUR®, are a valuable contribution to a healthy lifestyle
Well glued is doubly stable
Various bonding techniques can be used to process the GEALAN-KONTUR® system. On the one hand, the STV® (static dry glazing) developed by GEALAN, on the other hand, GEALAN-KONTUR® can also be wet glued.
Advantages of glued elements:
- Larger windows with even more glass content are possible
- In some cases, the use of stabilizing steel can be dispensed with
- Maintenance effort is reduced
Wet bonding offers further possibilities:
- Burglary protection up to RC 3 is feasible
- Bonding can be done automatically in window production
Automation in manufacturing
The GEALAN-KONTUR® profile system not only offers the window customer function and design,
but is also taken into account by the processor for the step beforehand. A wide variety of
production techniques can be automated in production, GEALAN-KONTUR® offers, for example:
- The possibility of automatically notching the frame for the outer and inner construction connection
- The central seal in the sash is also optimized for optional, mechanical feeding
- A flat sash rebate for automation of wet bonding
- A flat frame rebate for automation in fixed glazing
For special requirements
Robust aluminium finish
GEALAN KONTUR® PVC profiles are optimised to be combined with various aluminium facing shells. In this way, the GEALAN system further expands its design freedom.
Visually, the modern aluminium look on the outside of the window underlines the architectural trend towards straight, angular window design.
In addition, the aluminium shells are not only strikingly chic, but also extremely weather-resistant.
A special feature of the GEALAN KONTUR® system that enables even more design variants: it contains a wing profile that can only be combined with aluminium shells. This reduces view and rollover widths.
The colour scheme with the wide range of RAL colours and special aluminium colours can be tailored to your personal taste, inside and out.
